Adding Connectors

Connectors allow users to give the AI agent access to additional context from different sources. They can be used to access contact details, documents, workflow instructions, and other relevant information.

Connectors are particularly useful for information stored in address books, document libraries, cloud storage platforms, email, and applications that support conversation threads, such as Slack.

Documents

Users can give the AI agent delegated access to search for documents stored in OneDrive, SharePoint, Slack, and Box by installing the relevant connectors.

Document connectors can be installed in two ways:

  • From the chat composer: Click the + button at the bottom-left of the chat window. A list of available connectors will be displayed. Select the connector you want to install.
  • From the Connected Apps page: The Connected Apps page is located on the left-hand side of the main platform page. Open the page, find the app you want to connect, and click Install.

For Google Drive and Dropbox, users can access documents by using the relevant document picker to add files to a conversation on a case-by-case basis.

Document pickers are also available for OneDrive, SharePoint, and Box.

Contacts

Users can give the AI agent delegated access to search for contacts in their organisation's people directory.

The following people directories are supported:

  • Microsoft People
  • Google People

You can connect the AI agent to these directories by selecting the relevant connector from the connector list in the chat composer or from the Connected Apps page on the left-hand side of the main platform page.

Workflow Instructions and Other Assets

The AI agent can extract documents, contact details, deal terms, and workflow instructions from an email thread when the user's email account is connected to the DocEndorse AI Agent.

The following email services can be connected:

  • Hotmail
  • Outlook
  • Zoho Mail — using OAuth 2.0
  • Gmail — using an app password
  • Yahoo Mail — using an app password
  • Other email providers — using IMAP, where supported

After connecting an email account, search for the relevant email thread and add it to the agent composer.

The AI agent will analyse the email thread and, where necessary, extract:

  • Document attachments
  • Contact details
  • Deal terms, such as the closing date, contract amount, transaction value, or other key commercial terms
  • Signing instructions
  • Document-filling instructions
  • Method of sending
  • Messages to include
  • Other workflow instructions

This means users do not need to manually extract information from lengthy email threads. The AI agent can identify the relevant information and use it to help prepare documents for signing.

For example, if an email thread contains details about the agreed closing date and contract amount, the AI agent can identify these deal terms and use them when preparing the relevant document. Users can then review the extracted information before the document is sent for signature.

Email connectors are available from the Connectors list in the chat composer.

Note: Email accounts cannot be connected from the Connected Apps page. However, connected email accounts can be disconnected from the Connected Apps page.

Disconnecting Connected Apps

All connected apps must be disconnected from the Connected Apps page, which is located on the left-hand side of the main platform page.

Using Connectors with Slack

When users are working in Slack, they can initiate a conversation with the AI agent within a chat thread.

Users can ask the AI agent to review the ongoing discussion in the thread and extract the information needed to prepare documents for signature.

For example, the AI agent can review the conversation and identify relevant documents, contacts, deal terms, and workflow instructions. It can then use this information to prepare the documents for signing.
